Today marks day 1 of the modified pantry challenge that I am doing. As promised, here is our meal plan.
Breakfasts: cereal, toast, pancakes, oatmeal, eggs
Lunch: PB&J, grilled cheese, fruit/cheese/crackers, leftovers, hotdogs, mac and cheese
- Sunday: Sweet and sour chicken, rice, crab cheese wontons
- Monday: Hamburger Helper beef stroganoff, veggie, bread and butter
- Tuesday: Beer battered fish, rice mix, veggie
- Wednesday: Crockpot smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes, veggie
- Thursday: Leftovers
- Friday: Homemade pizza
- Saturday: Tacos
Snacks: granola bars, cereal bars, cookies, popcorn, fruit, applesauce, pudding, jell-o, cheese sticks, popsicles/ice cream (dessert only), animal crackers, etc.
Since the whole purpose of a pantry challenge is to use what you have and NOT buy, here’s what I will have to get at the store for this weeks food:
- lettuce (taco night)
- tomato (taco night)
That’s it! This week is off to a great start.
